HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER!

  1. Call (712) 644-3003, email hchsadmin@harrisonhumane.org, or stop in on a Saturday between 9 – noon to chat with an officer regarding volunteer opportunities.
  2. Schedule your training sessions. It takes three training sessions to become a full-fledged volunteer with HCHS.
  3. Chat with an officer regarding your best fit as a volunteer — whether it is a Dog Walker, Cat Cuddler, Laundry Person, or a volunteer with our events, office duties, we have a lot of opportunities for you!
  4. Once you have been approved as a volunteer, you will be given access to the building and to our private Facebook page.
